Effective date: 11 October 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the TrustMark mobile application, developed by BytePill.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By installing or using TrustMark, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.

2. What TrustMark is

TrustMark provides Text Scan and Mark Text tools. These tools process text locally on your device without transmitting it to BytePill servers. The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

3. Permitted use

You may use TrustMark for lawful purposes only, and only with content you own or are authorised to process.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you scan or mark, the outputs you produce, and compliance with applicable laws.

5. Ownership of your content

You keep all rights to your content. BytePill claims no ownership or license over your text.

6. Intellectual property

TrustMark software, branding, UI, and algorithms belong to BytePill or its rights holders.

7. Prohibited use

You must not use the app for fraudulent, deceptive, malicious, or rights-infringing activities.

8. Limitations of Text Scan

Text Scan is an analysis tool, not an absolute guarantee or certified forensic/legal proof.

9. Limitations of Mark Text

Invisible markers can be altered, removed, or stripped by external tools or platforms. Marks are not tamper-proof locks.

10. Accuracy

Results may be incomplete. You should independently verify results before making important decisions.

11. No guarantee of complete detection

No guarantee of exhaustive or 100% detection of hidden content is made or implied.

12. No guarantee that a mark cannot be removed

Do not rely on an invisible mark as your sole protection or proof of authorship.

13. Availability

The app is provided as-is on your device and may not always be compatible with every operating system version.

14. Updates and changes to the app

BytePill may update or adjust features of TrustMark as needed.

15. Third-party services

External services (Email client, Google Play, Google AdMob) are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

TrustMark is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

17. Limitation of liability

BytePill shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from app usage.

18. Termination

You may terminate your use of TrustMark at any time by uninstalling the application.

19. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated alongside app or feature changes.

20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Any legal matter will be subject to applicable laws and competent authorities based on relevant legal requirements.
